The Department of Persian Language
The Department of Persian Language:
The Department of Persian Language was established in 2025, with an initial request for 30 admission seats. Consequently, 22 students enrolled.
The Department view:
This department is regarded as one of the most important in the College of Languages because it belongs to the Indo-European and Indo-Iranian language families and is closely related to the Kurdish language. In addition to being two important neighbors and cooperating in trade, politics, society, and culture, among other things, we believe that Persian and Kurdish culture, folklore, and literature have been extensively mixed, influencing the Persian language, words, and phrases. We believe that teaching Persian alongside other languages is crucial for Kurdistan students to gain a scientific understanding of Iranian language, literature, and culture.
The Department message:
With great pleasure and satisfaction, we are happy to create a language department, whose literary influence is the first in the world of literature, and we will be able to teach the next generation of our country this language and access to the treasures of literature, culture, and civilization. We are sisters. The opening of this area is a clear step to enter the basic knowledge of thousands of years of Iranian advancement, in the domains of poetry and radio, in the framework of mysticism, wisdom, love, etc. that the Kurdish country has throughout history. Many Kurdish literary, historical, and civilizational works will be expressed in this manner. This department, along with its skilled lecturers, will serve as the primary incentive for students to have access to a plethora of knowledge and information.
