Bridging Cultures: Implementing Sustainable Environmental Practices from the Midwest U.S. to Dohuk, Kurdistan
On 15/10/2024, the English Department organized a workshop entitled “Bridging Cultures: Implementing Sustainable Environmental Practices from the Midwest U.S. to Dohuk, Kurdistan.” The workshop focused on exchanging knowledge and experiences related to sustainable environmental practices and their applicability across different cultural and geographical contexts. Participants discussed how successful environmental models from the Midwest of the United States can be adapted to suit the environmental, social, and cultural conditions of Dohuk. The event encouraged academic dialogue, cultural understanding, and interdisciplinary cooperation, highlighting the role of education in promoting environmental sustainability.
